About the Role:
Join Lina Vivas Maintenance Inc. in Jamaica, NY, for an exciting opportunity as a Porter/Janitorial staff member! We are urgently hiring dedicated individuals to maintain cleanliness and ensure a welcoming environment for our clients and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in assigned areas including offices, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap as needed.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as directed by management.
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to all clients.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Excellent time management skills and reliability.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
